Welcome to the 30 Day Singer learning service (referred to herein as either the "Site"), owned and operated by 30 Day Lessons Inc. Not wanting to stop acting in the now and partying it out.TERMS OF SERVICE EFFECTIVE DATE: February 8, 2019 "We don't wanna leave, no, we just gonna be right nowĪcting crazy getting loco to the lights out" Not putting this "fire" (party) out any time soon. Because the artist goes on stage and is performing this song, they have this match and will soon start "burning one hell of a something". What is a match? It's something that has the potential to "light" something much bigger. 'Cause we got the fire, fire, fire, yeah we got the fire fire fire" "Strike the match, play it loud, giving love to the world Obviously, we have no worries because we have the fire, symbolizing the hype of a party. 'Cause we got the fire, and we're burning one hell of a something"

My Interpretation"We, we don't have to worry bout nothing This is just saying that her group will watch the chaos with enjoyment, gaining strength from others' pain. Goulding is also stating that she has the power (fire) to keep this under control. They decide to become socialist (end of line 2, line 3). Nobody is expecting this to happen (refer to line one of this stanza). Light it up, like we're the stars of the human race, human race" Song MeaningI think this is about a Tyranist uprising. It might not make much sense but that's my interpretation of the song. And even though the audience might not take in the artist's songs with the same meaning to the artist themselves, the artist knows they have power in their art/songs and is able to show the world what they can do. Strike the match, play it loud, giving love to the world"

"When the lights turned down, they don't know what they heard The rush of the performance is just surging through the artist's body (getting a high off the performance) and they feel alive. Then the artist starts to preform and the audience is going crazy - getting lost in the sound and dancing around. "And what we see, is everybody's on the floorĪnd it's over now, we got the love, there's no secret now, no secret now" The artist knows that the audience is waiting for them, they're waiting for the artist to start so they can feel all of those raw emotions that the artist's music has to give them. My InterpretationI see this song being from the perspective of a music artist/performer on stage at one of their shows.Īt the start of the song, the artist is simply making their way on to the stage and they're looking at their audience - who is waiting and anticipating their show/set. Music's on, I'm waking up, we stop the vibe, and we bump it upĪnd it's over now, we got the love, there's no secret now, no secret now We don't wanna leave, no, we just gonna be right nowĪnd what we see, is everybody's on the floorĪcting crazy getting loco to the lights out 'Cause we got the fire, fire, fire, yeah we got the fire fire fire We'll be raising our hands, shining up to the sky Strike the match, play it loud, giving love to the world When the lights turned down, they don't know what they heard

Light it up, like we're the stars of the human race, human race

They, they gonna see us from outer space, outer space 'Cause we got the fire, and we're burning one hell of a something
